The UNC Charlotte community will gather to celebrate the life, work, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The program will feature a keynote speaker, reognition of campus partners, and candle lighting celemony. This event is free and open to the public.    
 
A community reception immediately follows in the Lucas Room.

Queer Year One (QY1)

Queer Year 1 (QY1) is a program designed for first-year students at UNC Charlotte. QY1 is a cohort program that helps to connect LGBTQ and allied students both to the queer community on campus and the larger community of Charlotte.

The program will engage students through the arts, community activism, community outreach, and connecting to campus life.

All first-year students at UNC Charlotte are welcome to attend. This first meeting is a social meet and greet with free food and giveaways.
