Queer Year 1 (QY1) is a program designed for first year students at UNC Charlotte. QY1 is a cohort program that helps to connect LGBTQ & allied students to the queer community on campus and the larger community of Charlotte. The program will engage students through the arts, community activism, community outreach, and connecting to campus life. All first year students at UNC Charlotte are welcome to attend.

Did you know UNC Charlotte has a food pantry? Please join us as we invite Sean Langley to discuss services the UNC Charlotte Niner Student Pantry provides, how it began, and the impact it has on the greater Charlotte community.

Led by the Multicultural Resource Center (MRC), the Did You Hear About It Discussion Series will focus on areas of diversity and will expose students to campus and community resources. These discussions are open to all and will focus on one area of diversity during each conversation.

The Safe Zone 2.0 program is designed to actively engage existing Safe Zone Allies in conversations that will deepen their knowledge about LGBTQ issues on campus and around the country. These brown bag style talks will be conversations lead by experts that will help facilitate continuing education for allies on campus as we try and broaden the support for LGBTQ individuals in our community. This month we will be discussing people of color in the LGBTQ movement.
