This training is designed for undergraduate students as a way of educating them about the lived experiences of LGBTQ individuals on campus. Students will walk away from the training with a better sense of the lives of LGBTQ people, a list of campus resources, and the tools to become a better ally.

Lost in the South: A Conversation about Queer Youth Homelessness
Student Union Movie Theater

The MRC will host a conversation centered around queer/trans youth homelessness and their needs in the South. Rick Westbrooke, the Director of Lost-N-Found Youth in Atlanta (the South’s largest LGBTQ youth homeless shelter) will be discussing their outreach and the challenges of LGBTQ youth in the South.  We will also hear from staff members at Time Out Youth about their work in Charlotte and what we can do to support LGBTQ homeless youth across the US.
