This training is designed for undergraduate students to educate them about the lived experiences of LGBTQ individuals on campus.  

Students will walk away from the training with a better sense of the lives of LGBTQ people, a list of campus resources, and the tools to become a better ally.

Queer Year 1 (QY1) is a program designed for first year students at UNC Charlotte.

QY1 is a cohort program that helps to connect LGBTQ and allied students both to the queer community on campus and the larger community of Charlotte.

The program will engage students through the arts, community activism, community outreach, and connecting to campus life.

All first-year students at UNC Charlotte are welcome to attend. This first meeting is a social meet-and-greet with free food and giveaways.
