Safe Zone

The Safe Zone program creates an affirming and supportive campus climate by identifying and educating members of our campus community who are open to and supportive of all individuals regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Learn more at Safe Zone.


Safe Zone 2.0

Safe Zone 2.0 is designed to actively engage existing Safe Zone allies in conversations that will deepen their knowledge about LGBTQ issues on campus and around the country. These brown bag style talks will be conversations lead by experts that will help facilitate continuing education for allies campus.


Queer Year 1 (QY1)

Designed for undergraduate students, this cohort program helps connect LGBTQ and allied students to the Queer community on campus and the larger community of Charlotte. The program will engage students through the arts, community activism, community outreach and connecting to campus life.


Multicultural Student Council

The Multicultural Student Council is a group of UNC Charlotte students who serve as proponents of diversity on campus and as ambassadors of the Multicultural Resource Center. The members of the Council serve as diversity educators on campus.


Workshops/Presentations

The MRC staff is available to facilitate workshops and presentations related to diversity, inclusion, multiculturalism, and social justice.
